Amiee Fairchild, LCMHCA
With over 14 years of experience working with children and adolescents in the field of education, I bring a deep understanding of the emotional, developmental, and academic challenges young people face. I use an integrative therapeutic approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy to support clients in developing emotional resilience, healthier thinking patterns, and overall well-being. While I have extensive experience with youth, I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, providing a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for healing and personal growth.
I am deeply committed to social justice and strive to create a therapeutic environment that honors the identities and lived experiences of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. My practice is rooted in cultural humility, and I continually seek to understand and dismantle systems of oppression that impact mental health and well-being.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Georgia, a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and a Post-Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Outside of my professional life, I’m a parent to three young children. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with friends.
